In 2017 I spent 176 Days on the Road with wrestling, school assemblies, media, and speaking at a couple of churches. Six of those days I made two towns in a day, twice I made three in a day, and once I made four in a day. Of course I have to mention how blessed I am that my wife travels most of the year with me also. She keeps me focused and going.
I wanted to get two hundred days in and could have but I decided to take most of December off. I'm not as young as I once was lol. My travels took me from an island off of the coast of Virginia to the Mississippi River.
I wrestled in four states (TN,VA,WV, and KY) the least amount of states in several years but Kentucky kept me very busy. I wrestled in 78 towns.,37 different buildings, 2 parking lots, middle of one street, 2 vacant at lots small town festivals, two churches, 6 outside events (fairs and festivals), and even in Ben "Cooter" Jones' Field.
Wrestling at DukeFest in Luray, VA the event was put together by Ben "Cooter" Jones |
I was apart of 22 Anti Bullying School Assemblies and were told by a big percentage of the schools that our program helped change on going situations with kids. We also with AMW events raised funds for several school programs. We also were able to donate 600 toys to help out South East Kentucky kids in need to have a Christmas present.
All of the above was great but nothing compares to my family welcoming my first Great Nephew David Waylon Booth in to the world in March. There is not enough words in any language to express how much I love him. He brings me so much joy and happiness.
My best Friend Waylon, and yes he is Handsome |
2018 is looking to be another great year with dates already coming in. Early in the new year we will be welcoming my first Great Niece Aubrey Rose Keys into the World. Misty and I will also be making our return to the West Coast in May.
Once again Thank You, I hope your year and the year to come is a blessing and as rewarding as mine.
